Goondiwindi Soccer finds new home

Soccer, or football as now it wants to be called, has a new home in Goondiwindi.  The club will now be based at Gilbert Ovals, on the field behind the former Rugby League Club House.  I have been supportive of this move since it was first mooted over six (6) months ago.  Council can now maintain the fields.

With two hundred (200) registered players from Under 6 to under 14 and a very forward thinking committee it is enviable that the number of players will continue to grow over the next number of years.

So congratulations to the Goondiwindi Soccer Club.  I hope to get to the grounds to watch the children enjoy and play the game.

The first game starts on March 17.
