VOLUNTEER GRANTS PROGRAM

The Federal Government’s Volunteer Grants program is NOW OPEN with up to $10 million available to support, encourage and increase participation in volunteering. These grants are designed to help community organisations, such as community clubs, support their volunteers by making their voluntary work easier, safer and more enjoyable.

Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 are available to help not for profit community organisations or groups support their volunteers through practical measures such as the purchase of small equipment items, reimbursement for volunteer’s fuel and transport costs, or contributions towards the cost of training etc.

The Volunteer Grants 2016 Application Pack is available from the Department of Social Services’ website – www.dss.gov.au/grants or you can email grants@dss.gov.au.

Applications for the Volunteer Grants 2016 close at 2pm AEDT on Tuesday 20 December.

Thanks Volunteers

As this is National Volunteer Week I would like to say “thanks” to all the volunteers across our Regional Council area or where ever you are.  Your contribution is enormous and we would not be able to operate as a society without you.

Put simply “Thank you”….
